"The cleaning staff was amazing and very respectful. Handy to have a restaurant in the hotel, especially for breakfast, which is a standard English and continental breakfast with a good amount of options. The coffees from their machines are pretty good too. Lovely hotel and hotel rooms. Would recommend."

"Check in was relatively poor, hotel journey from car park involved a number of stairs etc. AC in room excellent, but position of TV on wall made it difficult to watch and desk was cramped in corner, needs better layout."

"Centrally located hotel in town - near bus stop, and many shops. Bar/restaurant area is spacious and cosy. Rooms have adequate airconditioning/heating, coffee pod machine, and real mini milk bottles which is a lovely touch. Bathroom is renovated/clean, with quality amenities. Bed is comfortable- and staff friendly. Would highly recommend staying here!"

"We had a really enjoyable stay at this unique motel for 1 night as we had an otter feeding experience at Milletts Wildside the following morning. One of the ladies at the reception/bar made the best passionfruit martini I’ve ever had in my life! The air con was broken in our original room and without windows that open, it turned into a furnace. Spoke to reception and they found us a new room very quickly with working AC. Would definitely stay here again if doing something in the Oxford area"

"As soon as we arrived we were greeted nicely and given the information needed and were checked in. The room was fantastic, large, clean and really well equipped, the bed was huge and very comfortable, we had a nice view and the bathroom was clean and roomy. The spa was lovely and we had a lovely relax in there . We had a nice couple of drinks in the bar and watched the football. The breakfast in the morning was really nice with plenty of choice. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely revisit."

"Amazing old building, wonderful period and eclectic decor. Breakfasts are the best ever - huge selection and all equally delicious (and generously sized!) Staff and especially Manager Kerry were super helpful and charming. Dinners and lunches were also very good. Service was spotty and a bit haphazard. Internet was not consistent and you had to log in at least three times a day! Room (‘character’) was OK - a bit dark and dingy given the small window and dark paint. On the small side. The bathroom was OK but a bit neglected and dusty. Everything - furniture, beams, skirting boards, beading, seemed to be painted with a dark paint that hadn’t been properly applied so it is sticky and peeling. Definitely that needs to be remedied as it makes everything look tired and tatty. More attention needs to be given to cleaning as there was dust on every ledge, skirting board, and cobwebs in corners and in windows! everywhere in the hotel."

"Great hotel, great staff and great breakfast. Only downfall was that there was no air conditioning in the room. Very uncomfortable, especially when the temperature that day was 34 degrees."

"A really lovely hotel and the staff were all so friendly and attentive through our stay We did a spa morning whilst there and the massage was really good Also the restaurant was great with delicious food and a great setting especially sitting outside in the nice weather"
