"The check in and staff were amazing. They offered a welcome pack of a bottle of water and chocolate bar and breakfast bar. This wasn’t expected and due to the heat it was very welcome. We stayed as we had travelled for an Ed Sheeran concert and they had all the info of the show available and just went above and beyond ensuring the stay was pleasant and made a bond with their guests. I would thoroughly recommend staying and Kate (manager) was exceptional and so welcoming. "

"Have seen this hotel come up a few times and thought i would try it when i was working in the area. Being a golf club it has lots of extras, gym, spa, pool etc. The gym was well equipped with the latest tech, the pool area was lovely with a jacuzzi ,steam and sauna room. Clean changing rooms with ample lockers. The room was spacious with one of the largest beds ive seen, decent amenities, tea,coffee n biscuits. Great bathroom and shower. The restaurant was nice, the food was decent with plenty of options and great prices. A great place to stay and i will return. "

"Lovely hotel. We stayed only for one night but the room was lovely and cosy, beautiful old beams but clean and modern bathroom as well. Bed was super comfy. Didn't stay for breakfast as was a flying visit but it was reasonably priced (£12) so would try it if we stay again! A little noisy in the morning as you can hear doors slamming but nothing that bothered us, no noise at night that we heard! We also had a few pints in the pub in the evening which was lovely, didn't eat there but the food looked great! Parking was £12 behind the hotel for 24 hours, not that easy to find but safe when you get there. Overall, would recommend. "

"Stayed for one night for a girls weekend away to go to Chelmsford's Music Festival. Hotel was in a great location with parking. We had a spacious room with great amenities & a lovely lunch in the bar! Would definitely stay here again!! "

"Reception staff very helpful but nobody on reception when I was checking out. Some breakdast items cold but chef helpful cooking poached eggs . Carpets did not feel clean in bare feet otherwise room was clean "
