Other than offensively loud jungle-type music (monotonous and repetitive beats, very few with any singing), this hotel was excellent. The staff said the loud music from approx. 4-10pm daily. was because it was a holiday week Our room was extremely comfortable with a gorgeous view from our balcony The entire staff was extremely helpful and polite The breakfast offerings were large and tasty. as were the lunch & dinner experiences We hope to rerun to beautiful Puerto Vallarta on a non holiday period and again stay at the Almar Sea

We loved that we could surf on the beach during March. We reccommend bringing good footwear as you end up doing a lot of walking! Would go back here in a heartbeat. Loved the entertainment and the friendly staff. Food was really good too

The Riu Palace is well designed, well appointed and I appreciated the attention to detail i.e. washrooms (WC’s) were kept clean. The room was comfortable and service was efficient. Reception was friendly and fast. My only knock on staff was not the people (to a person, they were great), but more so the need for more pool-side servers; 3-4 more during the day would have made for less (necessary) trips to the bar. The beach is well located, allowing for a large number of chairs for those who prefer the sand and those that prefer pool-side.

The resort is very kid friendly with plenty of activities for them. The food was good but the menu needs updating. Very clean and comfortable beds. The pool areas are kept very clean and beautiful. I would go and stay at this resort again.
