Having been before, we were expecting a great visit. However, we had to endure cold showers because the shower had a fault, which, to be honest, they tried to fix but were unsuccessful. The room was cold on the Friday but the heating was turned on more on Saturday. The towel rail wasn’t on when we arrived and staff were unsure on how to turn it on.After a day we figured that we needed to switch it on from outside the bathroom, from a switch on the wall. We heard next door at 6am talking but other than that it was quiet. Staff were friendly and tried to help but sadly were unsuccessful. Bed comfortable and plenty of tea and coffee.

Great hotel
We stayed with our dog for the night and it was wonderful. The room was a very nice size, very clean and the staff were very accommodating. Food in the restaurant was lovely and the hotel is in an ideal location.

Service as it should be A*
Perfect location for the New Forest & Lyndhurst. Lovely food. Fantastic service. No request was to small and the staff where happy to help out with anything to make our stay wonderful. Hope to return soon.

Lovely staff! Great breakfast! Spotless clean! Later breakfast would have been more agreeable especially as it was the weekend. Stayed 2 nights, no housekeeping in room after first night-Felt like a guesthouse rather than a hotel. Property and decor a little tired

3 star hotel with 5 star service
We had a two night stay, with breakfast & decided to eat in the hotel. We delighted with everything particularly the friendliness of the staff & the quality of the food. We highly recommend the curries, light tasty without the usual oiliness you get in restaurants.

Lovely two day stay.
Great find in my favourite place the new forest. Friendly staff. Good food especially the lamb curry. Very tasty. Comfortable room with king size bed and whirlpool bath. Will definitely come back.

Pleasant country hotel
Very pleasant country hotel in a good location, just set back a little from the road into Lyndhurst. A spacious comfortable room with good facilities. We just stayed the one night as we were taking part in an MG car run that started not far away. One thing to mention: it's easy to miss when coming from Southampton as we were - it's in a hollow below the road level and out of sight until you're practically on top of the place.

Overnight stay
The Ormonde House Hotel is where we have stayed numerous times. Not 5 Star but we love it. Clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and make your stay special. We will no doubt be back there again. My only complaint is that you are not offered anything else with your full english breakfast. We used to have a selection of fruit/yoghurt/cereal as well.

Wasn’t pleased with how cold our room was I had to go and ask for the heating to be turned on which wasn’t good considering it was middle of winter so not a nice start

We only stayed for one night, rooms were a nice size with good bathrooms. Not the cleanest place i have ever stayed, dining room ceiling had suffered some water danage. Our friends shower leaked badly which will also cause future problems. Thus could be a nice place but needs some care and attention. Location is fantastic

We had a lovely stay at Ormonde House. Both my daughter and myself felt very welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of tea and coffee which was a bonus. Breakfast was delicious and very well organised. We will definitely be returning!

Raj and the staff at the Ormonde house hotel were very friendly and professional. If you needed anything all you had to do is ask. It was mu forst time to the UK. My next trip I will be staying at the Ormonde again.

Weekend Away
Fantastic Place, ideally located near Lyndhurst, a quaint little New Forest Village. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room lovely, very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted great.

A nice stay at a more traditional New Forest hotel, our family birthday celebration was hosted by friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Rooms and public areas were clean and nicely presented and evening meals and breakfasts were good. We ordered ahead as we were a large party and communication was good. Thanks to everyone at Ormonde House!

Too noisy by busy road
Superior room but up two steep flights of stairs. Very noisy as road noise being at side of house. No choice of cereal or fruit at breakfast and had to pre order everything!

Stay was good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food was very good. The room was okay the mattress was a bit springy and there were no biscuits to have with my tea. Other then that it was great 👍 Raj helped me with local taxis too which was great to help me get around 👍

New Forest adventure
The hotel was very clean and the owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast were excellent and all the food was freshly cooked to order. The only drawback were noisy yappy dogs. Fortunately the dog owners had their own conservative where their meals were eaten. We were probably unfortunate that we had 2 noisy dogs in the next room. The position of the hotel is ideal, being set back from the road, a few minutes walk to shops/restaurants and very central for exploring the New Forest.

Ok hotel
Stayed for our honeymoon as in this Covid period there was little choice. Room and hotel was very basic, especially for the price paid but the breakfast was lovely and the hotel in general well run. Room was very small and stairs to get up were a little precarious but was clean and bed comfy. Overall ok.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Staff friendly and very efficient. It made for a very relaxing break. The only downside was unfortunately the bedroom we had did not have a window, only a large velux window in the dressing area, which did make the bedroom quite dark.
