"Have stayed here quite a few times but this one was not as good. Of the 3 lifts one was working and at breakfast things could have been better organised. There was a large queue to get in but many of the tables were unavailable due to needing clearing rather than having people on them. There were two coffee machine yet only one worked. Food at the Grill was OK but could have been a bit better. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff were good and the live music in Merlin’s bar was a nice touch. The room itself was good value but other areas are letting things down. "

"Only downside with our visit was only 1 of the 3 lifts was working. With it being easter weekend the hotel was very busy and we had to wsit a long time for the 1 lift working "

"The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent, though the menu could have had more fresh options. The bar had a reasonable selection of drinks. However, the bed was noticeably dented/sagging in the middle, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. A new mattress or at least better support would make a big difference. Overall the property is fine, but the bed quality needs attention."

"The room was very clean, but very tired. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls the lights in the bathroom were flickering loads and took ages to turn on. The bath was very chipped and when you ran the taps the water leaked all across the top of the bath. The bed had lovely bedding but the bed was way too soft and ended up with snacking back in the morning. Room very hot as well."

"STAY AWAY! EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE! We unfortunately experienced discrimination and were poorly let down by Stephen James, Felicity, and Dan. We were lied to and treated unfairly. Worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. Will be escalating this to Marriott management!"

"Parking in the hotel car park required skill to get in and out of a narrow and tricky access but I’m sure other parking in the town was available. "

"We have just returned from a two day stay at Two Rivers, Chepstow. Our room was small but clean. The room was next to the entrance door and we experienced a lot of noise when the door opened and closed. My husband twice requested an extra pillow but it never materialised. We ate in the restaurant on both nights. The food was very nice but we had to chase the waitress for our desserts on both occasions. "
