What to do in Abergavenny

Activities, attractions and tours

Monmouthshire & Brecon canal
Abergavenny is a cute little town right on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park, and the meadow along the River Usk is a great place to go for a walk. There are paved paths and cut paths through the grass that wander along the river edge and around the ponds and groves of trees throughout the meadow. I saw signs warning not to feed the horses or cows that graze in the meadow, which is freely accessible to the public, but the only animals there during my visit were happy dogs enjoying a romp without their leashes.
