"My friends and I had an amazing time at The Old Rectory Barn over a wet and chilly November weekend. The house is so cosy and lovely, and was well set-up for having a great weekend indoors. Helen couldnâ€™t have been more welcoming and accommodating. She let us do a pre-visit as I was anxious about using an Aga, and to calm my nerves she loaned me an Aga cookbook and also made an electric cooker and other cooking options available (which came in handy)."

"Misleading check in time. Arrived three hours early to be told we could either sit in the coffee bar for the remaining time or pay £140 to have a glorified swim. The room was dated and in poor repair with paint peeling in places and lights taped up. The inclusive breakfast was delicious however, in the 40 minutes we were there the cooked breakfast was not offered and things we not topped up unless asked. Could be absolutely wonderful if it was handled by staff with better customer service. "

"From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stood out. The property itself is absolutely stunning. It's set in a private, fenced area with a beautiful private garden. Its perfect for relaxation and enjoying some peaceful time. The whole setup offers excellent privacy and a real sense of retreat. The amenities were thoughtfully prepared, making our stay comfortable and convenient from start to finish. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a special getaway. Five stars!"
