The Wilde is an authentic country home, yet set within the heart of the small Cotswold market town of Lechlade on Thames with all the amenities that you could ever need within a short walking distance. Wellingtons by the porch, an open fire, copies of Country Life.
The property has Tudor and Elizabethan origins and is believed to have been built as a residence for the Canon of Gloucester.

An arched stone entrance with oak double doors leads through to the porch with an inner door which opens into the flagstoned hallway.

Leading off the hallway you have a door through to an impressive sitting room with exposed beams and splendid Tudor fireplace. Oozing character this room is delightfully furnished with Velvet chairs and sofas and is super comfortable. A delightful room to spend an evening by the fire post supper.

The second stone arch (believed to have been part of the original Manor House) opens through to the vaulted kitchen/dining/family room offering an open plan seating, dining and kitchen area.

Double french doors lead out onto a beautiful protected courtyard with table and seating. But wait... just to the left is an entranceway to... The Secret Garden...

On the 1st Floor there are two well proportioned bedrooms, both of which are characterful with exposed beams, and a family bathroom with shower attachment on the same floor. Highly recommended
We had an amazing stay at Wills cottage. Excellent communication, easy check in. Spotless house and even more beautiful than the photos. The garden was incredible and we loved having breakfast out there each morning. Kitchen was more than well equipped with utensils etc. The only thing I would say is the house sleeps 10 but there were only 6 seats around the kitchen table so we had to use chairs from outside. But otherwise We couldn’t have asked for a better place/trip!

5/5 Excellent

Fantastic Stay in Cotswolds
Will was amazing, start to finish. Immediate responses to any queries and very nice. The house was beyond beautiful and well decorated. The area was well situated with pubs and stores near by. 10/10 for me.
