Great Location

Posted 30-Sep-2016
Pros: Location , free parking available with hotel pass just one minute away
Cons: jacuzzi, swimming pool, sauna all rooms with option of bath new elevator installation
Location: Walk along the beach, white cliff of dover walk
Booked two rooms to stay there with my mother and my partner. The rooms were on different floors and when asking for rooms adjacent to each other, unfortunately none were available. It would have been great to have been given the option. My mothers room was very small, I assume because they knew only one person would be within it, however the price was the same for both of our rooms. Our room did not have a bath. Seeing as there was no swimming pool or jacuzzi as part of the Spa, I would have hoped for at least a nice hot bath at the end of the day. The hotel only has one small elevator that serves the whole building, so be careful if you have big luggage. We ate at the restaurant for dinner. It is quite expensive. We had a fish main, which was completely dry, both starters were very small and overpriced. I would recommend eating out in the town centre for better quality of food and value.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage

Posted 31-Aug-2016

Another overnight here

Posted 28-Aug-2016
Pros: I like the fact that the building is a bit old and quirky, with uneven floors that tend to creak. The staff were particularly happy/smiley.
Cons: Addition of Air-Con would be welcome - and I understand they are looking into this. However, a large fan was placed in my room, which helped greatly.
Location: I was here for a cruise ship visit next day and did not avail myself of any local amenities except the seafront!
I have stayed here a few times now and this overnight stay was pleasing, as usual. This time I dined in for the evening and had breakfast in the morning.

Mooi hotel goed restaurant, mooie nette kamers.

Quality Lodging Near Port of Dover

Posted 19-Aug-2016
Pros: Location, ease of parking, customer service of staff.
Location: Dover Castle is nearby, as well as the historic town centre, and ferries between the UK and Continent. 20-minutes away is the historic Leeds Castle.
This hotel is charming, historic, and comfortable . . . and located only minutes from the Port of Dover, with ferries between the UK and European continent. The décor is classic, and the on-site restaurant is wonderful! Excellent meals, reasonable pricing---and a terrific breakfast. Located along the marina promenade, there is ample free parking along the front---just be gone before 9:00 a.m.), or pay-and-display. The staff were cheerful and extremely eager to ensure guests are comfortable and needs are met. We would definitely stay here again!
