"Great location and accommodation was lovely. Not a cheap stay but if you have kids there is lots to keep them amused. Some of the kids zones are a bit tired and need a refresh. We were there at Easter and they were short staffed in the restaurant. Food was good but needed more options given the prices being charged. Breakfast was great. Staff were excellent but stressed due to shortages."

"Nice place, exactly what you'd expect from an older building in a high street. The room was ready, check-in was so easy it was done and I knew where the room was and where to find breakfast in less than two minutes. I even knew when the bar closed. Why can't all hotels be like this? The room was warm and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee stuff. Easy car parking, and do hang around to watch the squirrels in the trees in the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. A good stay - I'd stay there...

"Lovely bedroom with view of cricket ground. Staff helpful and pleasant. Lounge attractive and food very good. Bedroom would benefit from a safe, a fridge and dressing gowns. Will be interested to see how the use of sister hotel swimming pool and spa will work out. Many thanks to staff for looking after us."
