"Good hotel in extensive grounds"
We had a good stay at this comfortable hotel. Arrived at 11 am but check-in not available until 2 pm, so had to find something to do for 3 hrs (walked to the beach and took lunch at local bar). Porec is a 30 minute walk but for those less able there is a land train costing approx £1 each way. Our room was very clean with plenty of room for three of us. Hotel is secluded and has good facilities - pool, bar, grounds. Entertainment in the evening is not a strong point. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Restaurant served good breakfasts and in the evenings a good selection of salads, fish dishes, main meals and desserts. Porec is a lovely town with many shops and restaurants and a busy harbour ie boat tours, fishing trips etc.

"Perfect hotel for a week away"
Stayed in a Villa on the hotel resort, 50 metres from the sea. From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent. The sea is crystal clear and great for snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding and windsurfing. Children entertained themselves on the huge inflatable water park. The food in the hotel was superb, with a variety of dining options - we particularly enjoyed breakfast by the poolside. The hotel has busy and quieter pools. The free bike hire allows you to explore the local area and there are boat trips to nearby Porec and Novigrad from the nearby jetty.

"Nice family hotel"
This is a great location on a beautiful coast. Yes, it's touristy and purpose built, but in a nice way. I've never seen a sea so clear and nice to swim in. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel and along the coast, which is a charming winding car-free path along the beach. We were a family of 4 and had a great experience. Free Wi-Fi in lobby and near pool too!

The location of the hotel is very nice, from our room we were able to look at the Adriatic Sea. The hotel was kept very clean, we could see staff cleaning the pool area every morning. Sitting on a terrace outdoors and looking at the sea while eating breakfast, watching the birds fly around was very charming and relaxing.

"Lovely Hotel with friendly staff"
Even before we arrived we already had a positive experience from the hotel. We e mailed them prior to our stay to ask about transport links from Pula airport and they arranged a Taxi for us from the airport (they did tell us how to get there via Public Transport we just opted for the taxi route to the hotel). Our room was lovely, great size and cleaned very regularly with facilities like a Safe and Room Service very easy to use. Food was lovely and the staff were always helpful and very polite. We used the Hospitality service to get advice on some trips which was great, we booked a boat trip through them which was amazing! It was my partners birthday while we were there which I hadn't mentioned but they turned up on the day of his birthday with a bottle of fizz and a note wishing him Happy Birthday which was a lovely touch! The pool was lovely and the location near the beach and a local supermarket was perfect. Would definately recommend to a friend and visit again.

"Would use again"
Reception staff were very helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Restaurant service was a little bit like a college refectory, mainly self service and queuing at busy times. The food was "honest" but not inspirational. Nice bar and terrace. A great beach location. The facilities looked great but as I was on a business trip I didn't get time to test out the beach or pool! I would stay here again as overall ity offers excellent value for money.

"Nice hotel"
Hotel was nice and clean, however the balcony sea view we had was not really the view one would expect for the additional cost per night. The breakfast and dinner selection was also quite small with little to no change from day to day. Drinks were well priced. We enjoyed the BBQ that the hotel set up (Wednesday night). The location of the hotel was pretty close to Porec center, nice place to pending an evening.

"pleasant 3 day weekend..."
Hotel was nothing special, well traveled and busy. The bed was great, really comfortable and the pillows and blankets were the best you could ask for. Me, my wife, and 2.5 year old daughter had no problem having a good nights sleep. The pool was great, not so busy and everyone having a good time. We were staying during the winter so we could only use the indoor pool. The outdoor pools looked great and im sure in the summer they are a popular place to be. The breakfast was excellent and couldnt ask for more. They even had soya milk and rice milk. Not something you see all the time. As far as other meals we dined in Umag and have to say there are some great deals on really amazing food in the city center. Drinks in the lobby bar were also cheap in price. A 0.5 liter beer will put you back about 20 KN or around 4$ all desserts were priced at 17KN or around 3.5$ which isnt bad for a hotel. Its only a small walk to the beach which sits dirrectly across the street from the building (less than 5 minutes). I wanted to talk about others that had complained. I got MORE than I paid for and really enjoyed it. I dont think you can get any better than this at this price. You wont find Champane at breakfast and if thats what you want then you need to dig just a bit deeper into your pockets and go to a more expensive more luxurious hotel. I almost forgot they have an arcade on the level floor with a few pinball machines and about 6 arcade games. It was expensive but a treat to say the least

Pocket Guide: Family Friendly Hotels in Istria

The peninsula of Istria is one of Croatia's most popular family holiday destinations. Its western stretch boasts dozens of family-friendly hotels and beach resorts, many overlooking white-pebble beaches and the warm aquamarine waters of the Adriatic Sea.

Choosing a Family Hotel in Istria

Expedia offers a variety of three- and four-star family-friendly hotels, from relaxed beachfront lodgings with sea views in Rovinj to lively apartment complexes in Poreč and Rabac. Many of Istria’s family-friendly hotels and resorts offer outdoor pools, tennis courts or kids' clubs, and some have nightly entertainment and casual, kid-friendly restaurants.

Poreč: A Historic Resort with Family-Friendly Beaches

Poreč is a popular resort with pebbled or rocky beaches and an historic old town famous for its stunning 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica. The beaches offer water sports including windsurfing, banana boats and pedalos, as well dive schools for scuba enthusiasts. Fancy something a little different? Head inland and admire the dramatic stalactite formations in the Baredine Caves.

Family Fun and Fine Food in Novigrad

Novigrad on Istria's rugged western coast is also popular with the family crowd. A peaceful fishing town with a colourful waterfront, Novigrad boasts a number of family hotels and long, sweeping beaches lapped by safe, shallow waters. Visit the Gallerion Austro-Hungarian Navy Museum or the waterfront Lapidarium Museum, which displays a variety of stone sculptures and historic artefacts. For some family fun, hit the waterslides at Aquapark Istralandia and the Rovinj Aquarium, which are all easily accessible from here.

    Rabac: Istria’s Family Holiday Hotspot

Rabac has long been a popular holiday hotspot for families who come for the safe beaches, warm, shallow waters and family-friendly holiday resorts. As the biggest resort on Istria's eastern coast, Rabac is known as the 'Pearl of Kvarner' thanks to its glorious clear waters and sweeping white beaches. There are plenty of beach bars, cafes and ice cream parlours, along side bustling seafood, pizza and pasta joints.

Expedia’s family-friendly Istria accommodation ranges from affordable forest campsites to all-inclusive beach resorts with kids' clubs and swimming pools. So whatever your budget, you can be assured of a brilliant base for your family trip.
