Great place to stay. Reasonable pricing! Much appreciated the the early check in reuqest too. If I need to stay in Huddersfield anytime soon, will come here again.

Served my purpose well but my non smoking room smelt strongly of cigarettes. There is refurbishment work going on. The staff were friendly & helpful. The £4 car paring fee is a MAJOR irritation & would have me look elsewhere in the future.

The hotel was doing extensive refurbishing but hadn't told me beforehand. There was dust on breakfast tables. The food was buffet style so can imagine dust had settled on food. I stayed because I needed 24/7 heating due to my health. My boiler at home had broken down and I didn't have hot water or central heating. I found cedar court radiator wasn't working properly. Hence I had to use fan heater which they provided.

Hardly slept due to plumbing noise throughout the night. On advising staff told they knew and it was being fixed. No compensation offered so, no return.

Good hotel will be improved when refurb finished.
The hotel is well located for visiting the area and loads of parking available (currently £4 per day) The hotel is currently being updated and the foyer/lounge is fresh, bright and modern. Friendly staff. Breakfast is standard selection, but I felt the breads, pastries, sausage and bacon were of poor quality which is a false economy as it spoilt an otherwise pleasant breakfast. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable enough but there was a fair bit of mildew in the bathroom and around its extractor. I mentioned this at check out and believe that it will be remedied and the room will have a refurb soon. Overall I would be happy to go back again as it was fair value for money.

Easy to get to and great parking. Check in via self service desk is a real pain especially when you have done this already online. Limited staff so waited at bar as he was on the service desk checking guest in.

Over priced limited bland menu. Very over priced rooms. The car park was an ice rink, no effort was made to make it safe.

Rooms well presented Mattresses are a bit uncomfortable (i’m used to memory foam) Menu could do with review 2 negatives Fire alarm went off at approximately 7am on both days Dinner service - my ‘minute’ steak took over 45 mins to be served (the staff didn’t once come over to explain why there was a delay) but were very friendly and quick to bring you drinks…. Every cloud and all that…

Good hotel
Pretty much everything was fine. The welcome could’ve been a little friendlier and I thought it a bit unusual to charge for early check in if your room is ready, £10 per hour. Breakfast was very very good and the room was perfectly comfortable. Shower was excellent.

From the outside and in reception, its a nice modern looking hotel. Rooms however are dated and are overdue some TLC. Toilet did not work correctly. Poor lighting in room and cleanliness not great. Breakfast quality quite poor

Difference between room types
This was my second stay. 1st time i had a standard room. Second time inpayed for a superior room becausebthatbwas thebonly room left. Unfortunately i couldnt see and differences between the rooms.

Great location, spacious & clean room. Lovely shower. I would stay here again due to location and facilities. Only negative - being double charged for the room - I did get my money back after calling the hotel.

Colleagues room wasn't decorated, plaster board on walls etc. Reception area ok but rest of the hotel was in desperate need of a refurbish. Must add there was a team of people decorating however to be charged the amount for our stay did not reflect the state of the place. I stay in Huddersfield alot and would not stay here again until refurbished and only if i had to
