The Cottage

Fairstead Cottage is a three bedroom bright and airy semi detached cottage, located in the centre of Holt and just a short drive from Norfolk's finest beaches. The cottage is the perfect family getaway with an enclosed private garden and parking.

The cottage is approached via a pathway through the pretty front garden and on entering the cottage, the front door leads into a hallway, with the dining room and kitchen off and the staircase to the first floor. The dining room has a large table and seating for six or more and opens out into the large sitting room overlooking the garden at the rear. The sitting room is welcoming and cosy, with wooden floors, rugs, and comfortable furniture which is ideal for a family evening of board games, reading a good book and relaxing during the winter months.

The galley kitchen has a range of wall and base units, a free standing cooker with gas hobs, a microwave and fridge. There is a washing machine in the utility area beyond the kitchen and a separate freezer in the Larder under the stairs.

The family bathroom is off the kitchen on the ground floor and features a bath with a shower over and wash basin. There is a separate loo and wash basin.

On the first floor, the three bedrooms lead off the central landing.

The principal bedroom overlooks the garden and has a king-size four poster bed with two bedside tables, a built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
The second bedroom has 3ft single twin beds, bedside tables, a chest of drawers and free standing wardrobe.
The third bedroom has a bunk bed, with a 3ft bed at the top and a 4ft lower bunk. There is also a travel cot available in the alcove in the twin bedroom. Please speak to a member of the Big Skies team if you would like to make use of this.

Outside

The generous-sized private garden is fully enclosed and surrounds the cottage. The front is laid to lawn with a patio area, play house and pathway leading up to the house. The charming garden at the rear also has a patio area, a large garden table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining, and an outdoor chess board. A BBQ is also available for use (guests are responsible for cleaning this and providing charcoal).

There is parking for three cars on the gravel driveway for Fairstead Cottage.

Nice little Cottage close to the centre of Holt.

Comfortable Cottage only 300 metres from Holt. Free parking. Please note that the only toilet and bathroom/ shower are down stairs. Having said that we had a very comfortable and enjoyable week.
