Nice hotel near Watford shops and station

Posted 21-Mar-2016
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. There was only one staff member who I would consider rude. Also I later found that both Expedia and the hotel charged me for the stay which has yet to be refunded.

Decent stay

Posted 15-Mar-2016
Pros: Staff, Service, Room size.
Cons: Breakfast variety.
We had a very good stay at Jury's Inn. The staff was great, probably one of the best in our 2 months trip of Europe and they do everything with great heart. I recall an incident whereby we mistakenly requested for more towels as we didn't see our towels in the bathroom. It was 28th Dec at night and this young intern lady was at the desk. She apologised and actually delivered the towels up to our room herself in no time. I thought that was excellent service and brought a smile to us. The breakfast was decent, croissants were great but could have done with more variety of food. The breakfast staff was excellent as well, having quick turnarounds to replace the food whenever it is finished. WIFI was very good and the system makes it easy to connect, not having to reconnect everyday. Room was decent, good size but in our particular room the connecting door was very noisy everyday. It seems like there was some sort of tape behind the door and it kept having the sticking sound. Location wise was too far for our liking from central london even though the train station was just 10 minutes walk away. It is actually in zone 8 so it was very expensive to travel to and fro. We didn't realise how the oyster card worked so we found out about it to our cost. Overall it is a very decent stay and price wise it is okay considering it is far outside of town. We exceptionally loved London so if we are coming back for Harry Porter we will definitely stay here.

Wifi doesn't work ruined my stay

Posted 05-Mar-2016
Nice hotel but the wifi was very poor.. Having paid a lot to stay then having to pay £10 an hour for wifi isn't very fair.. The wifi should be free and work!! Couldn't even use my iPhone or laptop for whole week very annoying. Maybe you should consider fixing this.

Hotel stay

Posted 03-Mar-2016
Quiet hotel/location despite being in the centre of town. Watch out for bottled water at the bar though- was charged £2.10 (for glass bottle) when it is £1.00 for a plastic one from reception. When this was pointed out, I was refunded and brought a plastic one. Water is water and I feel I should have been made aware of this at the time.

Tired room for a relatively new hotel

Posted 29-Feb-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: It is impersonal and the room we had was uninspiring and drab
Location: Watford town centre has various bars and restaurants.
For a relatively new hotel the room, whilst clean and tidy, looked tired and shabby. The hotel is functional, if impersonal, and well located. However I think there are better value optiono nearby.

Good city centre location

Posted 31-Jan-2016
Everything about our stay was good. Only downside was no car park. It is situated very close and would have been very easy to find had we'd been given the right directions! Luckily I didn't go out onto the one way section around the hotel to try and find it! We did however go back to the hotel and found it on foot! You get a discount but must get the hotel to validate your ticket when checking out. We managed a full nights sleep which is always a bonus! U can hear some noise from the pubs n clubs close by but because we stayed on a Thursday it wasn't that bad! I have read other reviews that the noise at the weekend is unbearable in some rooms! I would stay here again if we came back to Harry Potter tour.

Good location for the Warner Brothers Studio Tour

Posted 19-Jan-2016 on Hotels
We stayed here the night before a visit to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. This is only a 10 minute drive from the hotel so excellent location from that point of view. Hotel staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The only confusing this was that when we checked in they said that we shouldn't have free wifi but they gave it to us anyway. According to our hotels.com booking we should have had free wifi, so not sure why they acted as if they were doing us a secret favour by giving us the password.
