"My wife booked this hotel at the last minute for me and I'm glad she did. The room was lovely, I was very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was amazing. Enjoyed the food in evening and after a long drive from the south of England, I was very well rested for the rest of the drive the next day. Will definitely be back again."

"The first room we checked into was next to an internal door which kept being slammed by noisy guests. We were moved to another room by a lovely and helpful member of staff without any hesitation. The second room was an upgrade from the first one and was in a much quieter part of the hotel so we are very appreciative of that. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating.the location is perfect next to the river and the outdoor space was great (was a lively still and sunny day). Breakfast was plentiful, hot and delicious. "

"I arrived just after 8pm and was personally and kindly welcomed to The Old School House. After a long day’s walk, I was offered a drink, which was much appreciated. My bags were taken to my room, and I was given a tour of the property.Breakfast was homely and delicious, and I enjoyed meeting some lovely fellow guests. The place was immaculate, and the hosts were absolutely charming.I would definitely stay again and it was just what I needed after a 30-mile walk! "
