Lovely room - nice and clean and bed very comfy. Good in the pub downstairs was absolutely fabulous - huge portions and very tasty. Highly recommend 👍

Lovely stay, food was fantastic. Both evening meal and breakfast was devine. Room was beautiful and immaculate. Great castle with lots of history, we did the castle tour that they do every morning which we thought was a lovely touch.

The staff were terrific and good outstanding!

Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept.

Room was clean and tidy on arrival Staff went above and beyond very helpful nothing was to much Breakfast was amazing lots of choice whatever your taste and all the food that came out looked good liked the fact juice and pasties where available as well as tea/ coffee and toast. We took our dog and again the staff order water and happily gave him a sausage for his breakfast. A lovely hotel in centre of Britain definitely worth a stop over

Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc.

Lovely room with jet bath and tv in bathroom nice chill with glass of wine , breakfast was piping hot and delicious, lovely friendly lady waiting on in dining room .

Could fault nothing. Excellent from first arrival(just to drop luggage off prior to check in to actual departure). Love hotel, Staff, accomadation, everything. Cant wait o go back.

Excellent staff very kind and hospitable and very nice pub food and breakfast. LargeTV screen to watch the World Cup and BBC I player to catch up on the highlights, all good.

A characterful village inn hotel, recently refurbished by the owners. Very friendly, relaxed welcome and service from Kayleigh & Marcus and all their staff. Room had a lovely view through the village and towards the hillside. Well appointed and very tastefully decorated ensuite room too. The bar itself is busy with a good selection and found everyone to be very friendly both in the bar and in general around the village, no-one passes you without saying "good morning". In short, very enjoyable...

Generally we liked everything, though lots of items, the bathroom for example was what we would call 'tatty' doubtless because you have been closed due to Covid for lengthy periods this year and last. Thus repainting has not been able to be done. Sleeping was good, not least because Elizabeth was able to have sheets and blankets rather than a duvet.....exactly as we requested in fact. Good.
