Lovely small boutique hotel in a great location downtown away from the main hustle and bustle. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and quiet with a great shower and complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities in the lounge 24/7 plus a complimentary breakfast of pastries and orange juice which was a welcome surprise. It is a little dated and could perhaps do with some modern decoration but this didn't really distract from a great stay.

I really appreciated this hotel being my base. The staff were phenomenally friendly, welcoming and helpful. That made a big difference to me as this was my first time in NY, on a ten day trip alone. A big adventure. The mattress was firm (very important) AND there were feather pillows. Close to travel and amenities. It’s listed as three star. I see it as four star. Very good value for money.

Great location, good pricing, friendly staff. If your are looking for a comfortable and modern stay with just the basics then I don’t see any reason to complain about this hotel. A very useful option to avoid paying a fortune in the more opulent hotels. They kindly extended my checkout until 12pm for no extra charge.

This hotel saved our stay in NYC. Booked very last minute (the night before), as the hotel we were supposed to stay let us down big time. But coming to Soho 54 made us feel so good and positive about our staying. Everything was just perfect, the room was great with all the comforts (especially the bed!), all the staff was so helpful (Elise was the only name we asked, but everyone we crossed, thank you !), the hotel facilities were great (coffees/teas/bottled water always available and free)...

It was just as I expected. It was not noisy at all (being so close to Times Square).
I booked a room with a bunk bed and it was as small as shown in the pictures so definitely as expected.
Stay was comfortable.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and clean and the staff were lovely. It would benefit from a hotel bar but we very much appreciated the bottle of wine!

The hotel itself is clean and centrally located for NYC tourism in Times Sq. the staff are great, breakfast included was a good start to each day and the price we got through Expedia was a bargain. Be warned that there is a migrant shelter directly opposite the hotel which can be intimidating as large groups hang around outside - the hotel have a regular security guard and the NYPD are outside the shelter all the time.

Small room in walking distance of site's to see plus near plenty of shops, bars, cafes etc
Very basic room but clean and tidy and although on early arrival my room wasnt ready, the check in staff took my luggage to allow me to explore minus mv suitcase
Was exactly what I wanted

Our stay at Pod 39 was very enjoyable.
The hotel location is perfect. Quiet yet close to Grand Central, Chrysrel Building, Empire State and Times Square, lots of shop and eating out options nearby.
The hotel itself is in good condition. Its highlight is the rooftop. In the morning the bar is closed but you can still go there and eat breakfast & enjoy the views.
Downstairs they have another bar. In the morning there is a free coffee and tea and some breakfast options are available to buy like...
