I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming. You helped make my husbands birthday treat a very special memory. Thank you !

I wasn't sure what to expect but this Holiday Inn is one of the best run hotels i have stayed in. I mean everything just gels here. The staff are quite honestly astoundingly good. From walking in the door they were warm and friendly and just so welcoming. The room was spotless, including tea/coffee making things. And the breakfast is wonderful. 10/10 to all of you we will be back for sure.

The Murrayfield Hotel is the gem of Edinburgh. I had the pleasure of staying 4 nights. It’s a quick bus ride to Edinburgh Castle. In a great old neighbourhood of Edinburgh with excellent local shops, a few restaurants and cafes nearby. The room. My room had very high ceilings with the original plaster work. I have never stayed at this hotel before and I will 100% be returning. Super clean, fantastic finish and the bed sheets were so soft! Couldn’t fault a single thing. We stayed on a Saturday night (on floor 9) and you could hear a tiny bit of noise from local streets but did not disturb our sleep one bit. All staff were super friendly too. Fab location too. Thank you so much.

It was absolutely lovely! Very close to Edinburgh Waverley and some lovely restaurants. Calton Hill is right next door as well. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the room was plush and clean. We wish we could stay longer!

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Townhouse Suite which was larger than our London flat! By far the best value for money we have ever got from a hotel room. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The onsite "honesty shop" was also very well stocked with a range of food and drinks with a lovely lounge area to enjoy them in. We have already booked this hotel again for our next trip to Edinburgh.

Adored the lady that checked us in, who assisted us at a later point throughout our stay. The hotel was lovely, clean and warm. If you are looking for a hotel away from the noise and bustle of the centre this is an excellent choice. The condition and decoration in the hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is split into two buildings, so did require going outside to get from one to the other for the dining area. There are a lot of steps and no lift, so bear that in mind if you are on the top floor, although the staff do offer to take your cases up. The top floor room I was in had a good and...
