"This Vrbo was a perfect stay for our family while visiting Virginia. The cabin is about 2 miles from ruckersville but is in a perfectly quiet area. Our only critic was in order to get to the second bedroom you have to walk through the bathroom with the shower. This was not a large hindrance for our family. Very pleasant owners. Thank you for your hospitality!"

There were parts of the house that could definitely use some TLC (ie. broken trim, missing lightbulbs/insufficient light), but our group wasn’t too bothered by those things. The hot tub could have been cleaner (some of our group got rashes), but the other amenities made up for it. Despite the negatives, we would (and will) stay here again."

We expected to do some local vineyard visits and hikes/trail walks, but we ended up resting and enjoying the comfort of the cabin. "We had a family wedding in Mineral and wanted to stay close by. Heron’s Cove was the perfect house to accommodate our eight family members ranging from 8months to 81 years. There was plenty of room for all of us to hang out together both inside and out. Kathy was also very helpful in allowing us to check in early so we could make the Rehearsal dinner in Charlottesville on time. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely go back."

"We were attending a wedding nearby and wanted a quiet, relaxing place to stay. Farmview cottage was perfect! The cottage was well maintained and had everything we needed for a short stay. We wished we could've explored the Zen Barn but it was occupied by a group. Some of the cats on the property gave us a tour of the other neat spots like the boat with the sitting area on top and the sauna. All in all, a great experience!"

"Cabin is within an hour drive to almost any attractions you want to visit. It’s set up very well for guests. We did not need anything that was not supplied while on site. The basement floor is concrete and if you do not wear shoes inside might want to bring something to wear cause it can be cold. "This location is off a dirt road off another dirt road - - it's rural, which improved our quality of star gazing! Also, the fire pit was lovely. Be sure to get extra wood from the host. This is not the Ritz-Carlton but it's a great place to stay if you are heading into Shenandoah Park via the Spotswood Trail, Route 33. We enjoyed our visit here."

"We really liked the house, the lake, the area. However, we did encounter an ant problem at the house and the homeowner is aware and trying to fix it. Not fire ants, just annoying sugar ants. We ended up having to hide our food in the microwave and fridge, couldn't leave anything out on the counters, they find their way into any container it seemed."
