"the staff were friendly and professional when we checked in. our room was clean overall, but did have some old cobwebs and a bit of dust. the bed was clean and comfortable. the bathroom was clean, but the extractor fan was quite dusty, the shower had good water pressure. breakfast was a simple affair, coffee, tea, fruit juice, a few cereal choices, yoghurt, berries, croissants and bread, the only hot food was sausages. we also ate dinner here on both nights of our stay, there was a good selection of meals, all meals we had were very tasty. they don't seem to advertise they serve evening meals, we only saw one review stating that they do serve food in the evenings."

"Beautiful Grade2 lusted property, within easy walking distance of the town centre. Gardens lovely as were communal areas and dining, both breakfast and dinner very good. Only reason for 4* rating is that our room was accessed by two flights of stairs with no lift which might be a challenge for less mobile visitors. Our bathroom, although perfectly serviceable, was on the small side."

"We all had a great stay. Property was ideally situated for all of us to visit local towns ie Skipton, Settle, Ilkley etc.Went on a lovely walk to the 9 styles situated in Long Preston with Gus (our pooch)Area is surrounded by lovely pubs where we could get something to eat and drink. Would definitely go back "

"I travelled by train. Note that the hotel is nearer to Settle station than Giggleswick station. There is a decent size car park at the back and a few spaces in front, although I obviously didn't use them. Buses stop outside but I'm not sure how frequent. Breakfast is included in the price. I particularly enjoyed the full English; the smoked salmon and poached eggs were also very good. Dinner is available in the restaurant; a bit dearer than what I'd normally pay, but worth it for the quality. The single room was small but adequate with a bed and a dressing table/ desk. As well as a kettle in the room, they provide complimentary bottled water and fruit juice. Also fresh milk."
