"Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room at the back, so no noise from the A66. Room very clean, well decorated , great shower, comfortable bed. Bar and restaurant very good We ate an evening meal, which was excellent. Continental breakfast was included, delivered to the room in a small hamper ,after completing a form the night before. Plenty of free parking. Would stay again."

"Nice room, albeit quite small, overlooking the main square. The breakfast was very good and all the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Parking is on the square outside the property, come early on a Saturday as the square gets very busy."

"We enjoyed this historic and lovely inn. The staff, though rather stoic, were helpful and did an excellent job. Breakfast and other meals were very nice. The room was lovely and the bed was heavenly comfortable. We would heartily recommend this inn and already have."

"Brilliant hotel. Cosy place (which even had the pub dog greeting us which was amazing!). Only thing preventing this from being 5 stars was the shower facilities. Shower faucet is restrictive which can cause issues if you’re not wanting to get your hair wet. Maybe disposable shower caps could be provided to help this issue. Other than that though a fantastic place in a peaceful location. Would definitely stay again!"

"It was an old building , with character. I was on 2nd floor, quite a way to carry my suitcase, lovely room with nice outlook but the floor was uneven and windows difficult to open due to the age of the building."
