The Norbreck Hotel by Compass Hospitality

The Norbreck Hotel by Compass Hospitality

8/10 Good
"On a positive note, the staff were excellent. We were given a room on the third floor, room 305. The view was excellent. Although we think the room was decorated not too long ago, the paint work was very tatty around the door frame. On the room instructions it said to dial 0 for Reception but that proved difficult as there was no phone in the room. There was no point asking for one because the socket was broken. In some places the hotel was a little tired. The breakfast was good and well catered for regarding food intolerances. That being said we would stay here again."

"The room was clean the staff were helpful. The view wasn't great but the room was only for sleeping in so the view didn't matter, everything was in working order, there were tea making facilities in the room also an iron, ironing board and hair dryer and there was a fan in case it got too warm all in all it was a pleasant experience 😀"

8/10 Good
"Lovely hotel and staff were first class. I would rate a 5*, but for two things: -No air conditioning in the bedrooms in the main hotel. I believe this is planned at some stage. - we had the snug room on the top floor. Lovely room and big bathroom. But it had 4 velux windows and so no view. Not a major problem as we only stayed for a short 2 night break. However the real problem was at night, when heavy rain made us feel we were in a drum. So sleep deprived both nights. It is worth paying a bit more for a room on the first or second floors. Martin Hill"

"Lovely stay at the stables, welcoming friendly staff, the breakfast and evening meal during our stay was really good. Bar prices aren’t the cheapest but similar to what we paid in Whitby. Location is across the road from the park and ride into whitby that takes about 5/10 mins on the bus."
