"The location was great, with friendly, helpful staff and rooms had everything needed albeit a bit basic and plug sockets seemed a bit scarce. Breakfast was in a lovely area and really good - nice touch bringing fresh eggs of your choice. I would suggest bringing toast too so they don’t go cold when waiting for toaster! Would recommend as a great base for short trip."

"Caravan was tired but very clean. Value good for what we paid. Excellent site, amenities are great, everything required to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Pool area very clean. All staff extremely helpful and polite. Great location. Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again. Well done sandy balls 👏👏👏"

"First the pros. The staff are wonderful!! Super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also amazing! Good selections and tastes delicious! The restaurant area is nicely decorated and modern. There’s a good selection of toiletries and we had a nice large room with high ceilings. Now the cons. The parking garage is very tight and the other option is a paid lot down the street, just not very convenient. The bed and pillows were so hard and the walls are thin. Didn’t sleep well but I’m also a light sleeper. Generally a dated look upstairs. You also need to check into your room at the bar and carry your luggage through the restaurant. No elevator. It did seem like they were doing some renovations though and going by what the restaurant looks like it’ll be lovely! I did feel the good outweighs the bad though and I’d stay again. I’ll just bring my own pillow next time!"

"This was lovely in many ways. My room was spotless and spacious, Breakfast was hot and plentiful with a reasonable choice. The new season has maybe not kicked in as some of the outside areas could do with a little tidy up. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. This is not the fault of the hotel, but it is worth noting that there are few public transport links to the local towns and seemingly none before 9.30 am or after about 7 pm.,"

"The hotel was nice and clean but clearly being run on a shoestring. The person on reception, was also the one behind the bar, also taking food orders and then delivering the food. The heating in the room went off early evening, which then made the room chill down very quickly; this did make me smile, I thought another cost saving!! Sadly there was no cooked breakfast in the morning because they did not want to pay for a chef and then no one on reception at checkout as they only manned it after 10am. The pluses were the staff I did speak to were good, the room was clean and comfortable and the views were lovely. So not all negative, hence 3 stars. "

"Beautiful old property but faded grandeur meant it needs a bit of TLC. Our room and bathroom including sheets and towels were very clean but the carpet was stained the radiator was caked in debris and the cupboard needed a clean. The bathroom looked recently updated and was nice. Amazing views from the rear of the hotel. Good parking and convenient for Bradford on Avon and a short journey to Longlete."

"Had to ask for a room change on arrival as too many steps at various intervals on way to room E.g bathroom had 2 step drop into the room. Not ideal for elderly couple. Having said rhat one has to remember that it is one of the oldest buildings in the town. This was our second stay there and will be back ."
