"Nice, safe, quaint place to stay with large desk, fridge. Shower is quite small, but it works well. No toiletries were included, but you can ask at the reception as needed. Most additional items could be availabe upon request. For a budget friendly place within Exeter Campus it's a great choice."

"Well located property and a spotlessly clean room. All the staff were very helpful and even managed to get us an earlier check in when we arrived. If there were room for improvement it would be to improve the breakfast offering, it’s ok but could be better. The nearby car parking is also a great bonus and very reasonable."

Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel

"This is the second time we stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Exeter. The rooms are lovely, very clean, and everything you need in it. The bed and pillows are both very comfortable. Staff are all polite and helpful. Unfortunately on this occasion, the air conditioning had broken down as had happened to other hotels in the city due to the extreme heat. There was a fan already on in our room and we were told we could open windows and ask for another fan if needed. We were also given free ice cold water and complimentary drinks at the bar. Nothing was too much. I would definitely stay here again."
