We came up to the mountains for a quick hour ride on our Harley and a relaxing mid week day away. The weather in November was great and nice views of the golf course and surrounding mountains from our room's balcony. We picked this spot because it had eating facilities to catch a quick lunch/drink and also a separate restaurant for dinner and breakfast without having to get back on the Harley. Plenty of places to walk or ride a bicycle and a nice size pool (used by swim club 3-6pm) and spa. Restaurant staff was very friendly and service was fairly quick. We don't golf, but the course seemed to be in good shape and lots of people golfing the entire day. I'm sure we'll return for quick trips again in the future.
"Very nice place for a desert hotel. Super comfy "
We very much enjoyed our one night stay. The room was immaculate and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Nice staff. We ate at Arches - very retro looking. Food was great. Overall a great experience I would recommend.

This hotel was perfect for my needs. Full kitchen, separate bedroom, living room and dining room. Loved being able to cook my own meals. Only negative is the location, you need a car to travel anywhere. Closest town is about 8 miles away. There was plenty of things to do, lobby has movies and games, they had arts and crafts every day, pools, and horse back riding.
An oasis in a hot desert. It was just what we wanted. Being June, there were few people there. Many of the businesses were closed for the summer, or closed at noon. We came prepared and packed a picnic lunch for both days. We loved the area and enjoyed searching out all the wonderful sculptures scattered aver several miles just outside of the downtown area.

I never had such big rooms, at any price. The staff was extremely nice. In the morning, a woodpecker knocked nearby, but I couldn't care less; I enjoyed being away from downtown San Diego. On my top 1 list for San Diego county.
Wanted a quick getaway before winter for two. Found La Casa Del Zorro (LCDZ) in tranquil Borrego Spring. LCDZ is one of the top resorts in Borrego Spring, the center of the Anza-Borrego desert state park. The property was recently renovated in 2013 and had great facilities. We enjoyed the spa and really liked the cosy atmosphere. All the staff at LCDZ were very friendly and helpful. In fact the whole town was very friendly and hospitable.

Stayed two nights during August with our daughter and two grandchildren. Theme was amusing, pool area wonderful in the heat. Rooms large, comfortable and in good repair. Place underutilized in the summer and extremely peaceful - we hiked in the early mornings and late afternoons, rest of day spent resting and swimming. Most pleasant stay, recommend without hesitation.
Be aware, however, that not a lot happens in Borrego Springs in the summer, you need to be your own amusement.
The desert dominates East County. Here, wildflowers bloom in the spring at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This isolated stretch of land is California’s largest state park. Nearby, soothing mineral waters welcome visitors at a pair of hot springs, one in Jacumba and one in Agua Caliente. Nestled in the Cuyamaca Mountains, the historic town of Julian offers a glimpse of Gold Rush California.
