"Golf resort with an 18 hole championship course."
We did a three day trip to San Vicente to play golf and enjoy the local wineries. This was our third trip to this resort and we always enjoy our days there. At this time of year you can usually understand that the course is very busy and they do have some spots that are under repair. We enjoy the challenging holes the course offers.
The resort is in a remote location but easy to find on GPS. From the exterior it looks like your standard apartment complex. The rooms themselves are nicely appointed with very soft mattresses, including the most comfortable pull out sofa I've ever slept on! The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and utensils so all you need to concern yourself with are groceries. The room was very well insulated as I did not once hear any neighboring sounds. There are a ton of activities in and around the resort including raqcuet sports, basketball, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and many more. As we were in town for a wedding, we didn't get a chance to enjoy a lot of them but did enjoy just relaxing in the room with the breeze rolling in from the huge patio. We had a great time here and would definitely come again. I am most picky about my hotel $$'s being well spent and I'm happy I found this place for future stays in the area.
We arrived around 4 pm, not sure where to go.. apparently they sent the email after we left. Luckily we found someone. She informed us that the water had some issues, the sediment in the tank was causing the water to turn brown. She asked if we still wanted to stay as the water was essentially unusable. They offered a 10% discount, and apparently no one else stayed that night. So we decided to stay. It was very nice, we got a gallon of water, used whatever bottled water we could find and made the best of it. It was nice. The bed was comfy and our overall experience was good. We are making plans to return.. I do hope they fix the water issue.. that made it a little difficult but workable. We will return it was so much better than a hotel.
Spent 3 nights at the inn. The room was beautifully decorated and very relaxing. We were surrounded by amazing desert views. The breakfast was very yammy and was served in a beautiful room with fire and relaxing native music. Met some interesting people. We have already booked another 3-day stay in February. Anza Borrego is a hiking and a cycling paradise. The geology is amazing with signs of complex tectonic activities everywhere.

I stayed for one night, a Sunday, and found the property to be interesting and fun. The whole place has been remodeled in a western motif. It has really been done nicely, and the young kids will love it.
My room was spacious and clean, with a flat screen tv and a refrigerator. The bathroom was large, with a tub and a long counter with two sinks. The king-size bed was very comfortable. I found the hotel staff to be very helpful, and I will definitely stay her hte next time I come to Borrego Springs, in March.
I never had such big rooms, at any price. The staff was extremely nice. In the morning, a woodpecker knocked nearby, but I couldn't care less; I enjoyed being away from downtown San Diego. On my top 1 list for San Diego county.
The desert dominates East County. Here, wildflowers bloom in the spring at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This isolated stretch of land is California’s largest state park. Nearby, soothing mineral waters welcome visitors at a pair of hot springs, one in Jacumba and one in Agua Caliente. Nestled in the Cuyamaca Mountains, the historic town of Julian offers a glimpse of Gold Rush California.
