"Really nice hotel near the city centre. Very short walk away from train stations (Exeter Central and Exeter St David's) and the cathedral. The room was a great size and very clean. There was also some complimentary port and flapjacks which was a lovely surprise when we arrived. The breakfast was really tasty and decently priced (£15 for a cooked breakfast, unlimited hot drinks, and a small continental breakfast buffet). Only negative for me was that it was sometimes quite hard to find a member...

"Very passable basic room for a very good price. Can't complain for the money it cost. Clean and comfortable enough and friendly staff but the shower wasn't great (broken attachment to the rail) and the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable."

"Booked The Cromwell Arms for a 3 night stay with my husband. I came down to Devon to visit my Dad who lives quite near so this place was ideal for us. On arrival this is a very quaint looking establishment and quite a few places at the rear for Free parking too. We booked in and shown to our room. We were both pleasantly surprised. "We have stopped overnight at the Tradesmans arms in Scorriton before and have not been disappointed. The location is isolated in a delightful small village with stunning views. The accommodation, food and hospitality is really good. The atmosphere created by the many local residents when the pub is open supporting the business says it all. "

"Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights, on the first night with were arriving at 8.10pm just after the kitchen normally closes. We rang up and nothing was too much trouble, we preordered over the phone and they held off on preparing our meal until we arrived. Food was amazing and we had a lovely few drinks in the pub which has such a warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the log burner, and was a great size. A great stay, we would definitely come again! "

"The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night."

"My wife and I had an excellent and comfortable stay! We were greeted at the door and taken care of as we were shown to our room. Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a sea view which was very kind! Everything was brilliant, only slight issue was the lack of wifi & reception in our room (reception problem with the area, not the hotel itself). We didn’t end up trying any food though, but looked delicious. Thank you Orestone for accommodating us! "
