"We stayed here a few nights to visit Edinburgh in festival month. The owner is very welcoming and friendly; but the standard is disappointing by today's standards. A dog seemed to have stayed in the room before us (she takes pets) which needed more thorough airing and cleaning. The room had a slightly tired feeling. The setting is lovely and it is handy for Edinburgh - 30 mins by car and a good train service from nearby Linlithgow."

"Very slight issue - with bottom of 1 shower not being fully cleaned and scuff marks on the wall in the 2nd room but everything else was great. Close for the station to get into Edinburgh. Would stay again"
