Good food nice place to stay

Had a one night stopover, room was spacious and very clean with a super comfy bed. Breakfast next morning was excellent, plenty of choice.

This is a gastropub with new accommodation in what appears to be an old stable block behind, stylishly and sensibly converted. I wasn't sure about booking this hotel, as I'd never heard of it. However it was amazing. It is small but that actually adds to the experience. We usually prefer larger hotels but this was truly 5*. It really feels like a special place. The staff all get the balance of attentive & friendly right. If we needed anything they seemed to arrive at just the right time. Beautiful hotel, recently renovated which means they have state of the showers, beautiful throws and proper duvets, spotless white gorgeous bedding, fantastic decor throughout the hotel. Wonderful location on the river and lovely old building. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds comfy with high quality sheets and pillows. I slept so well! The pub serves brilliant bar food and the restaurant is top class. Highlight - amazing breakfast! The eggs benedict was perfect
