We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . In Hope Valley lovely spot. Our room had a lovely view of Edale. Sunday roast was excellent & the staff could not have been more helpful that evening. The only disappointment was the breakfast the next morning which was over cooked.

The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Stunning location, Lovely bar restaurant, Nice food with a good drinks choice, Nice comfortable rooms, Great breakfast, Staff are friendly and efficient. High quality Inn at a reasonable price for what you get. Definitely would recommend and would stay again when back in the area.

The room was equipped with everything one could need & we appreciated the newspaper service. The owner was friendly as were all the staff but not obtrusive no carpet in the bathroom was a bonus !!

Very stylish & comfortable room with extra touches. Food in the pub was lovely, breakfasts were delicious and we had dinner there every night (intended to go elsewhere but the food was so nice we stayed in!) Host Fiona was a lovely lady, so friendly and welcoming.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay I've stayed in hundreds of hotels This is in my top 3 to stay in If I'm ever working in Sheffield area again. I'll have no hesitation in booking this wonderful hotel The food is so well presented and taste delicious. Also I would like to make a serious point that the staff are so helpful polite and above all can't do enough for you It so wonderful Five stars to all

Staff were extremely friendly, and my dinner the evening I arrived was delicious. I don't eat breakfast but the coffee was good. The setting of this place is just beautiful, I was sad to only be staying the one night.

From check in to check out the staff were fantastic, great atmosphere. Lovely staff, clean warm and homely. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.

Really lovely garden and well designed interiors. Didn’t like those hangers in the wardrobe that are a fiddle to take out and replace in their security rings.

Lovely characterful hotel in a great location. We were upgraded in to a four poster room. Although the bed dominated the room there was still room for a sofa, desk and chairs. In addition there was a very spacious ensuite with a modern finish and great fittings. The staff were very welcoming and keen to help. The villagers of Pilsley were very friendly. Just up the road is the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop which has a brilliant selection of foodstuffs for those wanting the odd snack, souvenirs...
