I was happy with the cleanliness. The staff in the pub appeared helpful and welcoming, if i needed anything, i felt they would be happy to help. I felt safe there as a solo traveller. I had a bath. There was a hairdryer, but i didn't need it. The room did have some mould, but it wasn't obvious at first glance. The bathroom initially smelled of dampness, but after a while, I didn't notice. I had to move the nightstands, though, to access the power sockets. Despite these issues, I was overall happy with my stay and slept well. Before coming, I went for a nature walk in Lumsdale Valley circular walk and only had to drive a few minutes from there to get to the Duke of Wellington. I ate in the pub. The food in the restaurant is fairly priced and arrived quickly. Only one vegan starter. No other vegan options.
