"We stayed at Old Posting Inn for 2 nights as wanted to explore the lake District area. We wanted a quiet, quaint village as our base, and the Inn was perfect for our needs. The dinner was excellent and the hosts were lovely. The location itself is15 mins from Cockermouth town centre, 30-40 mins from Kewsick, and 45 mins from Buttermere. All in all, it was a perfect holiday for us, and we will come again!"

"It was like stepping back in time as premises dated back to Tudor times. The views were fantastic. The owner looked after us very well, with plenty of cake & a good hearty breakfast."

"Nice room & great location. Dinner was excellent although, strangely, they only offer a “single sitting at 19:30."

"Great little guest house with stunning views. Of Ullswater. We used the guest house as visiting the Inn on the Lake which is literally just across the road. Spotless room and super friendly staff 👍"
