"A beautiful building and lovely friendly staff in a great location … only one small complaint the mattress in our room was extremely uncomfortable I think it’s seen better days . "
"Lovely, quiet, peaceful location. Lovely place to stop staff very friendly and helpful and food was fantastic. The room very clean and tidy had a great view of the countryside and the sheep and horses in the field next door."
"Lovely 2 night stay in this hotel - room was adequate though shower pressure is not brilliant, breakfast staff are nice and rooms were cleaned daily
"
"The location was perfect, a very welcoming atmosphere in all areas, lots of banter with the staff who were all amazing. The breakfast was first class as were our evening meals. Beautiful outdoor area, grounds kept to a high standard. Looking forward to returning."
"The friendliest staff I have ever encountered from those in reception and restaurant. No attitude just so friendly there to help. The most wonderful staff I have ever encountered "
"A beautiful family run hotel. Great large meals and a nice bar. Friendly staff and nice getting to know some of the locals. This place had a gorgeous garden and this was done by the owner Paul. We loved our 2 night stay and the breakfast was awesome. Paul.was a great host abdceven took for a drive to show us the local attractions. "
"Dining options was limited unlike the other stays like premier Inn etc where we get attractive breakfast.
There were no toothpaste and brush set kept in bathroom where they will be kept in most of the hotels.
Apart from the above, stay was excellent"

Cosy modern house Lake District retreat, 10 minute walk into Cockermouth Town!
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed the area where the house was positioned.. a nice quiet neighbourhood..Cockermouth town within walking distance..The house had all the amenities to hand..Always hot water available & nice large white bath towels."
"Shower had a blockage but was sorted within a timely manner, the studio was nice and cosy and met my needs, the room seemed cleaned to a good standard but could do with a duster on the ceiling as cobwebs are farming in one corner and I do think they need to deep clean the cutlery and utensils and cooking accessories as they was getting a build up of grime on hard to clean areas but from constant use which once a month or every two weeks depending on how busy occupancy is and that’s why I gave a good star otherwise I would given excellent but easily rectified. I’ve worked in the hotel industry for 15yrs and I would honestly state I would absolutely re stay at this local accommodation and would recommend to others even my British Airways customers in the future "
"The flat was really nice, everything in it that I needed,Bed was comfy, shower was great and kitchen was perfect.I would definitely recommend this or any other flat in the building ll "
"Very nice place, we felt like at home here. Everything was clean. The apartment has everything you need, you can cook, you can relax. The town is beautiful. Shops literally across the street. Cheap parking right next to the apartment. The owners are very helpful and answer all questions very quickly. I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it. Thank you for a nice stay."
