We were warmly welcomed. Offered help in driving to historic sites. Dinner was great and room accommodations were adequate for our short stay. The only point of concern for us were the locking of our room. This was a bit difficult, especially if you had to make quick escape. But overall a very nice ...
Staff were very nice, rooms are fine could do with a little bit of an upgrade in the bathrooms, room very, very hot even with window open I know this was due to hot weather so not really a problem the hotel can help also the rooms would benefit from black out curtains as the room being very bright ...
We stayed in the ensuite family room, which was modern in decor and very clean. The bed was okay but small. There were two of us and it was a squeeze. Also it could do with a newer mattress as we could feel the springs. It was a shame as the room is big enough for a king size bed plus the single. ...
An older hotel that is situated close to the rail station and main road. Not the easiest car park to find but it is free once you have registered. The room we had was spacious and clean, but was noisy due to the main road outside and the pub across the road. Wi-Fi is not very good.
Great location for access to the south lakes. Staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable and we had a nice breakfast. Quite a lot of road noise, but we had to leave windows open as hot weather during our visit. We would stay here again.
Cumbria is a county loved for its wealth of outstanding natural beauty. The landscapes around the county range from heady mountain peaks to inviting bodies of water. While many visitors to Cumbria come in search of peace and quiet, or somewhere to walk, it's also a popular venue for travelling business people. Top of the list of must-have facilities for travelling professionals is conference space. Fortunately, there are plenty of conference centre hotels in Cumbria.
There may be a lot of hotels with conference centres in Cumbria, but few are as versatile as the space at the Tebay Services Hotel. Across the hotel's six rooms, staff can arrange furniture in an array of configurations, each allowing for a different number of people. There's also some excellent catering, to boot.
When it comes to size, the Newby Bridge hotel is one of the county's favourites. There are three conference rooms at the hotel, the largest of which can accommodate as many as 100 people, in a theatre style configuration. Located right next to the famous Lake Windermere, the rooms also boast great views.
One vital component of a business hotel is high-speed, reliable internet. Most hotels in Cumbria offer a WiFi connection free of charge, but it's a priority for conference centre hotels. The ability to connect to a network can transform conferences, offering an effortless way for delegates to communicate and share key information.
Professionals travelling on their own can also benefit from WiFi, getting in touch with clients and colleagues around the county. Of course, it's also an important means of staying in touch with loved ones back at home.
With busy conferences taking place throughout the day, professional guests will be keen to spend some time relaxing when the sun goes down. The Lake District couldn't be a more peaceful and relaxing environment, but the county's business hotels do all they can to help ease any remaining stress.
Appleby Manor and Garden Spa offers some great business facilities and conference spaces, but the real highlight comes at the end of the day when guests can indulge themselves in spa treatments. A swim before breakfast couldn't hurt, either!
