My wife and I booked 2 nights in this Bed & Breakfast establishment because we thought it looked fantastic and the reviews were excellent and we had promised ourselves a special break away from home that was something to remember. We were greeted by Ian and Hazel who showed us to our room and they freely offered us everything that we had hoped for. The room was spotless and comfortable and the choice of breakfast simply amazing. The Lakes are all within easy reach and the views simply...

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location. The attention to detail was fantastic far more than expected. The team at the Hideaway go above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable. We had a wonderful weekend.

A really enjoyable stay. Jim and Monique we’re really helpful and attentive. The room was spacious and clean and comfortable.

Hard to access carpark on site. Very cramped entrance on a major slope and limited parking space. We were met on arrival after ringing doorbell by woman who wasn't very friendly. She asked us how we managed to get into reception as we apparently shouldn't have been able as door should have been locked or closed. (Dont see how that was our fault) Then she states if we turn up for breakfast there might not be a table available and would let us know when we could get one!? (Turned out not a...

Great stay would stay again if i was in Windermere

Very friendly and helpful service

Amazing experience. Fantastic staff and customer service, very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Cream tea was freshly prepared and scones still warm. Room was amazing with a beautiful lake view. Homemade shortbread in the room was a lovely touch. Breakfast was also amazing, lovely fry-up with good quality ingredients. Brilliant experience all round, we will definitely be staying again.

Beautiful place, the rooms are really cosy and really well done out. A welcome text is provided the morning of arrival to tell you how to get your key etc and where your room is. Host also on hand if you need anything Best night sleep I've had in a long time, honestly wish I could stay longer. king size bed, big fluffy duvet and pillows. Kitchenette comes stocked with plates, bowls and cutlery along with a fridge and tea/ coffee . In a very quiet location but if you don't want to leave the...

We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room. We had a king room which was absolutely huge, with a massive, very comfortable bed, a large and comfy sofa, a large bathroom with an excellent shower and a really big TV on a rotating wall bracket (to make it watchable from anywhere in the room). We also had a small...

Lovely stay! Hotel was superb and very friendly! We highly recommend it!

We stayed one night at the Victorian house as we had planned a last minute visit to the lakes due to particularly good weather forecast for this time of year. The staff were very welcoming; the room was as described ‘cosy’ and furnished beautifully. The breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice. We would definitely look to stay again, especially as it was such good value for money and right in the centre of the village.

I used to stay at this Hotel on a regular (often fortnightly) basis a few years ago as it offered well above average accommodation. I liked its location, which gave a balanced mix of easy access with rural unspoilt views, which is a rare treat for anybody who spends weeks driving up and down the Motorway networks. But what I especially liked was the staff, as they are the entire backbone of this hotel and a credit to its Management, I can't say that i've ever had one negative experience, either...

Andy & Toni are both wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome & made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfasts were marvelous. Look forward to our next visit. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.
