"The room was lovely. The bathroom had an extra large bath and plenty of hot water. The only difficulty is with parking as it seems impossible to stop legally near the hotel and I could not find a phone number to phone and find if the hotel's own car park was full. (It was.) If they could have told me on the phone that their own car park was full and given me directions to the NCP car park (which I eventually got by going into reception having parked illegally) it would have been fine. "

"We had an excellent stay for 3 nights. Always a warm welcome and area guidance from really helpful friendly staff. We ended up eating back at the Inn inspite of other options as food was so good. Thanks to Christopher, Jack, Brendan, Karis, Jane.. the staff. Calvin the chef and his team put on the amazing food. Nice local ales too. Would recommend staying here to anyone. Short walks to Grasmere village and the 555 bus that goes to most places was literally stopping near the Inn. Loved it."

"Short walk to the beautiful lake. Do note that the drive up into the property is a small slope and would be slightly difficult for larger cars. Cleanliness was alright with the exception of some cobwebs at the corner ceilings. Nice place, great staff, well equipped!"
