Within easy reach of Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere, Coniston, Tarn Hows, and so much more! Staff were very welcoming and genuinely doing everything possible to ensure that you had a good stay. Only small issue was that Covid has closed down much of the communal areas, meaning that for a hostel it was particularly quiet, but this is entirely outside the control of the hostel. Beds comfy as any other YHA beds. Plug sockets next to beds with USB sockets also, which makes life easier. Only downside was people coming in drunk at 12/1/2 (three separate waves) and not being courteous enough to keep quiet.
