"Easy and level ground walk from the rail station to the hotel. Well equipped, comfortable rooms. Bed was a bit hard for me, but that's a personal preference. Staff are very professional and helpful. Room service was excellent."

"The room was spacious with a large shower. The carpet was threadbare and the bed was extremely hard. I discovered that the restaurant prices were excessive, £23 for fish and chips, £37 for an 8oz RUMP steak! A five minute drive took me to the Badger Box, extensive menu, great prices, £13 8oz Sirloin Steak, happy days. "

"We had a superior room no glasses at all no bottled water no bin liners only two tea bags on complementary tray, bar was fine, breakfast was a mess not tided up & v salty restaurant staff uncommunicative as was the check out receptionist we would not choose to stay here again."

"I was there for a wedding and it went without a hitch parking at venue was great right in front of front doors. My only disappointment was our room 115 from the minute we got in it just smelt of drains and as the time went on it got worse to the point it was making us feel sick. We never complained because of wedding party but as we were leaving a few more couples mentioned the smell next door to ours and across from us. I hope this is a one off because it definitely brings the tone of a beautiful hotel down."
