Staff were friendly and very helpful. We found prepayment of room upon arrival offputting.

Pocket Guide: Best Western Hotels in Cornwall

Cornwall is among the UK's premier holiday destinations. The county offers an abundance of things to see and do, from historic attractions to adventure sports. Part of what draws so many people to Cornwall each year is the outstanding tourism infrastructure. The county is peppered with exquisite hotels, catering for all needs. The well-known hotel company Best Western run a number of hotels in Cornwall, offering locations and styles to suit a variety of tastes.

Head For Lively Newquay

The north coast town of Newquay is one of the county's best known and most visited destinations. This is due largely to its combination of fine beaches, lively bars and independent shops. The town is also served by good road links and a national rail station, making it an easy place to get to.

The first of Best Western's hotels in Newquay is centrally located at Narrowcliff. The family run hotel offers spectacular views across Tolcarne Bay, a great spot for families, with safe swimming and good facilities. If the weather's not up to much, guests can choose to swim in the indoor pool, rather than in the ocean across the road. There's also a sauna, an on-site restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property.

Best of Both Worlds

Best Western Porth Veor Manor Hotel is also in Newquay, but enjoys a more peaceful location outside the city centre. The hotel at Porth offers equally stunning sea views, out across Porth Beach to the Trevose lighthouse.

The hotel's extensive grounds include a restaurant, pool, free WiFi and a private path leading to the coast. With a peaceful setting so close to Newquay centre, guests have the best of both worlds.

Accommodation near the Eden Project

The Eden Project is one of Cornwall's biggest attractions, and Best Western have a hotel just six miles away, in Lostwithiel. The Best Western Restormal Lodge Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar. There's free internet access available, and pets are welcome. Cornwall's oldest building, the Duchy Palace is also within easy reach. Near the centre of the county, this hotel is a convenient hub from which to visit Cornwall's many attractions and towns.
