"Quite a walk from station, with a steep climb back up to city centre"

"Enjoyed our stay at the castle. Staff were friendly and efficient giving great service. The courtyard rooms are small but well furnished and comfortable, also I thought great value. However we decided to upgrade to a larger state room and the staff were really helpful in enabling us to do that. You can really immerse yourself in the castle experience.The room was surprisingly warm as obviously no double glazing. Breakfast was excellent. If you are looking for a true castle experience you won't be disappointed. "

"Great hotel in a good location close to shopping, restaurants and bars. Comfortable and spacious room but there was damage to the sink which had a large chip in it. Also only 2 pillows which were very thin and didn't have pillow protectors on them. They really should be replaced."
