We're very sorry that you felt the location was hard to find - as this has never been raised as a problem by guests before. We are a working farm in a rural location - but are not 'tucked away' and therefore guests generally find our property with ease and are happy to go out in the evenings and in the daytimes without such concerns. Thank you for your comments. We're sorry to hear that you were expecting a log fire. We only provide this if asked by our guests - as many people prefer not to have it . We also prefer to use our own 'dried' logs on the fire as we know their origin and moisture levels. If you'd let us know either prior to your visit or when you arrived - we would have been more than happy to organise a log / coal fire inn the cottage for you. Unfortunately, the postcode in this rural area is shared by a few farms and there are no street lights - hence I can see why you experienced difficulties in finding us in the dark. I'm happy for guests to ring me for directions at any time. Brenda
