"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "

"Very poor for the price per night .. curtains hang off the rail .. kitchen is shocking no utensils that are useful .. fridge well more like a beer fridge .. no washing or drying facilities as stated the person in the house will wash and dry your clothes .. decor is poor and dated wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone"

"We've had a fantastic Easter holliday at this truly lovely and cozy cottage. The hosts were really nice, helpful and accommodating and the place its self was stunning, brand new and well organised. "We loved Lychgate's location next to the church, churchyard and open green. The tower bells, village activities, friendly neighbors walking dogs and strolling babies charmed us. The house is all we had hoped for: comfortable & well supplied kitchen, gorgeous bath & laundry, and dreamy king-sized bed. Everything we needed was near at hand: grocery store, Post Office, museum, various restaurants and shops. We loved our week in Waltham Abbey! Thank you, Marie."

"Leman Locke is located in a great area, right next to Aldgate East. We loved staying here and thought the room was super cute and stocked with amenities. Would definitely stay here again."

"As usual, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was functional, accessible, very accommodating, and clean. The only improvement opportunity I see is in the stiffness of the mattress in the bedroom, which is rather too soft for me, as I prefer slightly more rigid ones. The sofa bed should also be considered for potential replacement or upgrade. In all, splendid stay as usual"

"A fairly new establishment with a crisp front desk area and up-to-sate general amenities, the Gate sits right in the heart of East End, minutes away from the Aldgate East tube station and many eateries. Business travellers will find it handy.  Cosy Japanese restaurant on the same block.The famed but overrated Brick Lane is literally a walk through.
