"Surprised by the average age of guests! Being a group of a 21 year old, a 60 year old, and a 31 year old we found ourselves to be among the youngest guests, the entertainment was geared to a higher age range which we did not know prior to booking. Staff ranged from fairly helpful to quite abrupt, particularly upon check-in where we were told we would need to pick from a limited time to attend breakfast (which we prepaid for) as we did not pre-book these times - strange! Apparently if you book via a third-party site they do not communicate this. Check in staff did not give a very good explanation of the hotel and its amenities so this should be improved. The theatre areas are impressive but the nightclub an odd set up with voyeurs! Close to the places we sought to visit (Oxford, Kingham, Chipping Norton). Rooms great. Other guests a bit rude - I was asked if I was a part of the evenings entertainment team whilst I was checking in! Overall, nice stately home."

"A nice hotel located to the lake. Hundreds of rooms with spa and gym. Facilities to make a conference or meeting. Multiple dining areas. Staff friendly and helpful. The room is spacious with balcony. The toilet is also good in size, with towels. unfortunately no amnesties. Two bottles of water as complementary. We stayed two nights and no room service! The location of the hotel is super for different activities especially if you have a car."
