We needed to leave early the next morning so the chef packed us a picnic breakfast with lots of fruit, a blt sandwich, crackers and jams and cookies. "This is a beautiful old inn in the heart of the Cotswolds. It was very convenient to all the places and sites we were planning to see. There are some hikes close by, and they provided maps and directions. The restaurant had a very good menu with lots of choices. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very pleasant and helpful."

"Charming inn right at the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water. It was a short walk to the shops and pubs/restaurants of the town. Chose it because it had a room that would accommodate three ladies on our little tour of the Cotswolds. Our room had two separate bedrooms, one with a large bed and then another with two twin beds. Bathroom was updated and roomy with a full tub and shower. Would be perfect for a family also. The inn was built in 1698 and has historical charm, but was nicely renovated....

"Lovely stay. Beautifully appointed hotel with lots of tasteful communal areas and sitting rooms to relax and enjoy a Cotswolds gin and tonic. Knowledgeable bar and restaurant staff who were helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Great grounds for a stroll even in freezing February."
