"Beautiful venue and rooms were lovely, unfortunately the bed wasn’t very comfortable which was a shame, it looked like 2 divans had been put together to make a king size and there was a hard beam running down the middle of the bed. It didn’t ruin the stay it was just a bit disappointing for such a lovely place. However the cleanliness was top notch and I felt happy overall."

"There is a bar at the hotel that blasts music till really late at night. If u r looking for a quiet rest this is not the hotel for you. "

"The hotel lacked the polished service and five-star finesse one would reasonably expect, particularly within the restaurant and lounge areas. Table service was notably absent, requiring guests to collect their own drinks from the bar. During dinner, only part of our order was processed by the waiter, leaving some of the party waiting for meals that had not been entered. The experience culminated in one guest leaving without dining at all while the remainder of the party had already eaten. In addition, the spa facilities were disappointing, with the jacuzzi not fully functional and used towels left around the area by guests, creating an untidy and poorly maintained environment. "

"Booked the stay last minute for the Jazz Festival,and so glad we chose Malmaison. Alex at the front desk was fantastic,friendly and very welcoming and we were also able to park in the underground garage. We stayed in a Club deluxe room which was amazing,overall couldn’t fault anything,this hotel will now be our go to hotel in Cheltenham."

"Friendly and efficient service from staff, good food for evening meal and spacious bedroom/ bathroom. Excellent breakfast in choice and quality, although first and last time I have a vegan sausage 😂. A few minor issues for us, forgot to tell the owners they need a bath and shower safety mat, as jolly slippy in that shower and navigating the rolltop bath in room 14. Bathroom could do with a little cupboard for our toiletries please . To turn extractor fan off at night, small people like me can’t reach the switch, you may have to ask where the switch for towel radiator is too. The only big thing we had was the road is pretty noisy in the morning from 6am even with windows shut ( fast road) and you may have to ask for a quieter, back room than room 14 or take ear plugs if a light sleeper. You can reserve a table for evening meal if want, but residents always get priority. "

"1 night stay on business trip. Room was clean, spacious, reasonably well equipped but a little worn in places. Staff were helpful and breakfast was ok. Overall a reasonable stay."

"First room over looked aircon units and smelt damp so changed rooms. Asked for firmer pillows and was offered bath towels instead. Finally got it right. Breakfast was great. Good choice and hot. Toaster as always one side brown the other near burnt. Bar staff excellent, fast service and friendly. The main dining room is another story. Asked if they had a table as we hadn't booked and was left waiting for 10 minutes. Left with no response so pretty poor. Ordered room service but so far down the corridor ot was barely warm. I general good hotel"
