Lovely stay at the Clarion Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, both continental and cooked available and nice Sunday lunch in the restaurant. Wonderful outdoor seating areas to have a quiet tea or glass of wine and chat the night away.
But must mention how welcoming and amenable it was for our wonderful dog companion who was treated like one of the family, with his own welcoming pack and greeted like a long lost friend wherever he went.
Hope to return soon !

Fantastic Hotel in the centre of Stratford. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We stayed in room 706 which was a Premium King room which was huge and had all the amenities you could ask for. Snacks & drinks (including beer and cider) in the room all included in the price. Will definitely return. Great value for money.

Lovely warm and welcoming pub/hotel. Staff very welcoming and friendly.Only slight problem is that it took 45 minutes for breakfast to arrive; good job we weren't in a hurry to go somewhere! Brilliant location right in the centre of Stratford

Walking into town along the riverbank, close to the guest house was a bonus. Car left in their driveway. Go on the Walking Tour "just turn up" by Theatre - it takes 2 hours and is fascinating. Make sure you book theatre tickets WELL in advance if you want this but the Front of House Tour was great. Eat at Edward Moon ... Fab!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and spacious. It’s conveniently placed for the theatre and town, with on site parking so you could leave the car and walk around. There was enough choices for breakfast and what we had, was nice enough.

The best area to stay in Charlecote is directly in the village itself, particularly around the Charlecote Park estate.
This area is centred around Charlecote Park, a significant National Trust property known for its grand Victorian house and deer park. The village itself is small and rural, offering a quiet, picturesque setting with traditional English cottages and a local church. It's an ideal base for exploring the immediate area on foot.
Couples seeking a tranquil retreat will find Charlecote village perfect. You can enjoy strolls through the parklands, visit the historic house, and experience the quiet charm of a quintessential English village. There are a few delightful local pubs nearby for evening meals, offering a relaxed pace away from larger towns.
For travellers who wish to combine a peaceful rural stay with easy access to nearby attractions, staying in Charlecote provides a convenient drive to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, and the Cotswolds.
When is the best time to go to Charlecote?
The best time to go to Charlecote is typically between April and October, when the weather is generally pleasant and most attractions are fully open.
For those who appreciate exploring historic properties and gardens, late spring (April-May) and early autumn (September-October) are ideal. During these months, the Charlecote Park estate is in full bloom or showcasing its beautiful autumnal colours, and the crowds are generally smaller than during peak summer. The weather is often mild, superb for leisurely walks around the park and its deer sanctuary.
Families visiting Charlecote will find the summer months of July and August particularly convenient due to school holidays. While it can be busier, the longer daylight hours allow for more time outdoors, and there are often additional family-friendly activities and events organised at Charlecote Park and other local attractions.
