The Swans Nest Hotel

8/10 Good

"Proximity to centre of Stratford was excellent. Room was a good size, clean but slightly dated (I think that there is refurbishment work going on at the moment). Really good value for money and added bonus of cheap parking and electric charge points in the car park. Would definitely stay at the Swans Nest again."

8/10 Good

"Staff were helpful and friendly. Food is of the standard expected from a chain of hotels, (good, but not what you would call outstanding). The young ladies at breakfast were very pleasant with a lovely smile to start the day... nice to see. The way the costing of the meals and drinks was unusual though. Drinks were charged sepeately to the food. I was staying on a half board basis (dinner and breakfast) and it was made plain that this was the case. Dinner was 3 courses. I didn't want a starter on the first night (of 2), but I was told catagorically that the drink was seperate and not to replace the starter (I didn't even request that... I was just told!). On the second night I was asked to sign for the meal (this didn't happen on the first night), so this led to the assumption that I was going to be charged for the meal. This did not happen when I verified in checkout. I was only charged extra for the drinks."

10/10 Excellent

"Wonderful location, an easy walk to the Royal Shakespeare Theater and other Shakespeare locations. Parking ample and easy. Staff wonderful. This historic old building has been very well cared for and the decorations and gardens were delightful. We were very happy to find a ventilator already in our room. The bed was comfortable, the shower wonderful, the storage generous for our two day visit. Stratford itself was absolutely lovely, but this fantastic hotel made the trip even better!"

The Grosvenor Hotel

8/10 Good

"Lovely convenient hotel. Super location and easy to get to the main part of Stratford. The hotel is clean and has ample parking at the rear. The room too was clean. But is literally a bed. A couple more things would have made our stay more comfortable. Such as more than one pillow each, a mirror in the room would be good also just a bin. There are no hair dryers or iron in the room. On whole a good hotel for a short stay."
