A nicely designed hotel with well maintained and clean communal areas. Great large pool where noisy kids are tolerated. Rooms could do with a bit of updating and are showing signs of wear and tear. Also, if you like us you live in a flat and are terrorised by noisy neighbours then request a top floor room. We had a family above us on our first night and it was literally a living nightmare. We are pretty over sensitive as we live with this every day. Management kindly moved us straight away.
Stayed here only two nights on a quick weekend vacation. Was greeted by the very nice staff with welcome drinks. We did not have much time to spend in the hotel, but the room was nice and cozy, although the bathroom arrangement is a bit strange. The bathroom can be locked only that way that the entrance door is not accessible. Basically that's the first room we enter when we enter the room. There was some construction going on on the beach, presumably it was being filled with sand as the sea got too close to the buildings on the shore. So no info about the beach closeby. Breakfast was OK, the usual continental buffet we can see almost everywhere. There is a small parking lot ~50m from the hotel, where our car could be left for the night.
We booked through Expedia after i had entered a search for a room for 4 ( two adults and two children). Giving their ages (15 & 11).
This hotel came up, looked great so we booked.
First impressions were good until we checked in when we were told we had booked a room with one large double bed only. No extra sofa bed for the kids !! The receptionist stated that their hotel offers this deal for families of four with very small children. So how could i have been offered this room when i had entered the ages of my children. We had to pay an extra 1000 baht (£20) per night for an extra single bed costing us a total of £160. That was disappointing!!
The staff were pleasant enough and the free shuttle bus to Hua Hin is a must use as the hotel is a fair distance away from there.
It's great for a private escape. Love the decor. Good breakfast but still more room to improve for more choices. Not many activities or facilities to do around. Good for real relaxing and chilling out.
We stayed at the Haven for four nights and had a very enjoyable relaxed time.
It is very pretty and the views are great, The pool is beautiful and everything is very clean.
The staff were very pleasant and made us feel very welcome.
It is decorated Thai style which was lovely and nice flowers everywhere.
The breakfast was fine and food very good if a bit limited.
Our only reservation about it is it is in an isolated location, there is nowhere to walk to either on the road or on the beach. There is a shuttle bus to Hua Hin but not in morning and the evening one was at 6.00 and returns ay 8.30 not giving enough time.
We did enjoy the atmosphere compared to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.
We were greeted by a team of cheerful staff who are very helpful. We have booked total of 4 rooms - 2 family suite, 1 pool room and 1 deluxe which are located in different building but the recepion staff is very nice to bring the group to individual room and show us the facilities. The frontline team is great. Although the hotel is a bit worn out especially in the rooms, we still have a great time and enjoy so much because of the staff.
Thailand’s longest continuous stretch of white sand beach, Cha-am is in Phetchaburi Province, 200 km (124 miles) south of Bangkok and about 3.5 hours by bus. Nearby attractions include Mrigadayavan Royal Palace, Huai Sai Wildlife Breeding Centre, and Puek-Tian resort town, known for its statues in the sea.
