"Fantastic Spa"

"The overall stay was excellent value, I was well looked after. The room was spotless, clean and comfortable. The evening meal was the highlight, spot on and super tasty. One of the best stays I have ever had in the UK other than those over £300 per night (not often) and this was a third of that price. "

"The staff were great. The rooms are clean and easily accessible. The security was a plus. The only thing that was an issue was that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. Appart from that I enjoyed, I would recommend and stay again considering the cost."

"We stayed for 1 night whilst in Buxton to see a show at The Opera House. Our usual hotel was fully booked so though we’d try The Old Hall. The accommodation areas are bordering on dilapidated. Characterful no longer applies. We spoke to other guests and they found the same with one even without a working shower. Major staff shortage. The breakfast area was ok but 5 members of staff had rung in sick ( including the manager, which suggests low morale ) so the food etc was in short supply. The 2 on duty did the best they could but woefully understaffed. Overall, we wouldn’t stay again."
