Generally a nice place to to stay. The evening meal was excellent, but unfortunately that was not the same for breakfast, most definitely the "worst" full english breakfast i have ever had, dont know how they had the audacity to serve it up!!!

As I was driving back from a festival in Dorset, I kept in touch with the hotel staff about my arrival and all was fine when I arrived about 7pm. There’s no private parking. Street parking only, but at least it was right in front of the house and free. The owner showed me around the B&B, the bedroom and the separate shared bathroom. It was very fantastic, I have known kevin since i started my shifts in stoke-on-trent. Very Gentlemen and warm as always. the room is very clean and very large as I didn't expect it. (the room I reserved) room was so warm and bed is new, I should say all is new from floor to ceiling. I am definitely giving them 10/10 for my stay. and will be booking for more after my first stay. _-S.Usman

We stayed at this hotel for a night stay ready for our polar express day at the nearby churnet railway station, we had an absolutely lovely time at this hotel friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is absolutely lovely and the rooms are clean and tidy and very comfortable. Recently refurbished and renovated as a chic bistro winebar and luxury accomodation - throughly enjoyed staying here; would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone - steep stairs to top most floor owing to the age of the building - only negative point .
