"The room was clean & functional. The bed was clean and comfortable, the en-suite was good. The beer was good as was the scampi. The cooked breakfast was good too. The owner/ manager was very friendly and helpful."

"Lovely comfortable B&B with a very friendly owner. Our bedroom was perfect...comfortable bed, large clean seperate bathroom with a roll top bath overlooking the garden & countryside beyond. We had fresh milk for drinks, kept in a mini fridge & a wide variety of drink choices. We enjoyed chatting with Martin, one of the owners. Parking is on the roadside...plenty available. The town is easy enough to walk, but there is also plenty of parking available in Castle Cary, the interesting local town."

"Big quirky room with a four poster bed and good sized bathroom. Armchairs positioned for watching the big TV and a desk and chest of drawers containing an iron and hair dryer. A little surprised there wasn't a wardrobe but there were places you could hang stuff up. Lovely staff who were friendly and efficient. Food is delicious and the breakfast included the biggest omelettes I've ever seen! The only downsides were rather low pressure in the shower, though this could have been us not having used an electric shower for ages, and I found the mattress a bit soft but my wife loved it and was out like a light. I would definitely recommend this hotel and it's a good base for exploring the area like Frome."
